Standard regos for NTE close in a week. So it’s time to get serious. Here’s five reasons why you should stop putting off the decision and sign up now!
1) You will be spurred on to glorify Jesus
This conference exists to spur you (and the rest of the fellowship) on to transform Australia and the world through radical, self-sacrificial and joyful living for the glory of Christ. NTE is all about our fellowship worshipping God beyond the borders of respectability and abandoning our lives to Jesus and his mission. This year we will celebrate 15 years of God’s work through NTE, but we’re also looking forward to how we can re-focus ourselves on the gospel into the future!
2) You will be transformed by God’s Word
Everything at NTE is centred around hearing and responding to God’s word. This year on the main platform, Rory Shiner and Richard Chin will speak on one of the biggest, but most neglected themes in the Bible: being ‘In Christ’. Hear how we are found, saved, right, holy and gathered in Christ. And how we proclaim this gospel to a world outside of Christ. You will also have the chance to explore this theme in-depth through the tracks each morning, with Con Campbell, Paul Grimmond, Phillip Jensen, Marcus Reeves and Dave Walter looking at what it means to live, suffer, serve, be identified and be united in Christ. We’re praying that you are not merely challenged, but profoundly changed by God’s word at NTE!
3) You will be trained in understanding and communicating God's word
NTE is a training conference for a lifetime of Christian living and mission. You will be theologically stretched in strand groups each day, equipped to not only understand the Bible, but how to speak into the lives of others too. And you will learn how to live practically for Jesus through 14 new elective workshops. We don’t just want you to be ‘Bible students’. We want you to be ambassadors for Jesus who can not only understand the Bible, but also faithfully live it out!
4) You will see God’s world more clearly
NTE is an opportunity to lift your horizons beyond your campus and see how God is at work throughout his world. Through the Global Mission sessions, you will see something of the spiritual need of our world for gospel mission. Through the Ministry & Missions Expo you will see opportunities to be trained and sent throughout the world. Through the IFES sessions, in strand groups and over meals you will meet God’s people from throughout Australia, the South Pacific and the world. And you will have the opportunity to not only share in fellowship together, but also work in partnership together to reach the world for Jesus!
5) You will impact God's world for Jesus
It’s our prayer that this conference will actually make a difference in the world. Through Act Now, we’ll make an impact on the physical and spiritual poverty in Zimbabwe, Malawi, Slovenia, the Northern Territory, and even help out the youth of Canberra. Through the Prayer Walk, we’ll call on our great God to graciously be at work in our campuses, cities and the countries of the world. On the missions after, we'll have an incredible opportunity to work with churches around Australia to proclaim Jesus to those who don’t know him!
