FOCUS

Welcome to FOCUS!

FOCUS stands for Fellowship of Overseas Christian University Students. We are the international student ministry of AFES.

The aims of FOCUS are:

  • to explain the Bible in simple English for non-native speakers so they may trust Jesus as their King and Saviour
  • to provide care and support for international students during their stay in Australia.
  • to build friendships between Australians and international students and share the gospel in an appropriate way
  • to prepare international students to return to their home countries, taking the gospel with them where possible

If you are an overseas student or know someone who is coming to study from overseas, get involved with your uni's FOCUS group - it is a great way to learn more about Christianity in a friendly environment, and to form friendships with other Christian uni students from around the world.
