Richard Chin
Richard Chin is a Malaysian born Chinese Aussie who is married to Bronwyn. Together they have 4 wonderful children.
He currently serves as the National Director of the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES) which employs over 100 trained staff to reach the thousands of students on Australian University campuses for Christ. In partnership with Christian students, AFES seeks to evangelise, encourage, train, and send students throughout Australia and the world.
Originally a medical doctor, Richard trained in ministry at the University of NSW before completing a theological degree at Moore College. He has been based at Wollongong University since 1995, where he also serves part time as the University chaplain with a team that proclaims Christ to both local and international students.
In 2008, he was also appointed as the IFES South Pacific Regional Secretary to help facilitate the student work in Fiji, PNG, Vanuatu, and New Zealand.
Apart from University campuses, he teaches the bible on platforms such as Katoomba Christian Convention, CMS events, and the AFES National Training Event.
