My story

I have been a Christian since I was a young child but it took me a long time to grasp the majesty of the gospel. It was not until the end of school that I came to understand that because we are saved by God's grace alone and God is always faithful to his promises I could have the assurance of salvation.

Since then, God has changed me from being fearful of anyone knowing I was a Christian, to someone who wants to share the good news of Jesus with any and every person who will listen. This change has only happened as God by his Spirit has helped me to understand his word.

Jesus is the Lord and Saviour of my life. I no longer live for myself, but for him. I rely on Jesus having died on the cross for me and risen again to give me new life. I long and look forward to the day when he will return and I will be with him in heaven.

What will I do?

During the coming year I will be working at the University of Wollongong with the Evangelical Christian Union (ECU) especially with its international arm FOCUS. FOCUS is the Fellowship of Overseas Christian University Students. My main role and aim will be to share the gospel with as many international students as possible, to teach them that Jesus is Lord and Saviour and to encourage and train them to keep following him. My main roles will be:

• Giving talks at FOCUS meetings
• Organising and running bible studies
• Meeting up 1-2-1 with students to read the bible and pray
• Training students to share the gospel
• Following up new and interested students

Why can my support help?

Your support many international students the chance to hear the gospel. Many of them have never heard of Jesus before, so it gives many people in our world the opportunity to hear of Jesus for the first time. Many of these students will return home to their own countries and are missionaries to their own people.

Your support will abound in many expressions of gratitude and praise to our Father:
