Each December, AFES groups gather from all across Australia. Together, we sit under God’s word to grow a deeper conviction for mission to the nations. As we learn about Christ’s character, we hope all students can be Trained, Transformed and Sent for the gospel.

Training Event!
We want every student to feel confident reading God’s word for themselves. That’s why we designed strands! They’re small groups that meet throughout NTE to grow in knowledge of God together. Alongside fellow students and leaders, strands train you in how to read and teach God’s word.
Strands are a rich and unique environment for encouragement and discipleship, and always a highlight of NTE!
There are seven types of strand groups:
Strand 1: Exegesis
Strand 2: Biblical Theology
Strand 3: Systematic Theology
Strand 4: Ethics of Work
Strand 5: Teaching a Series
Strand 12: The Gospel (Year 12 Graduates)
Strand 101: Introducing God

Every NTE is packed with great things to do. We spend lots of time deeply studying God’s word in main sessions and strand groups. We have a full expo of mission partners to connect us with God’s broader kingdom mission and friends from other ministries.
You’ll share meals with brothers and sisters in Christ across Australia and be encouraged to hear how God is at work in our nation and beyond.

If you’re already keen, why not invite a friend or two? NTE is a fantastic chance to equip and train Christians at uni. It’s also a great place for those curious about faith to investigate Christianity in Strand 101! Whoever might be interested, we’d love to see them there!
