The vision of AFES is proclaiming Jesus Christ at university to present everyone mature in Him. AFES employs staff to help and encourage students in their Christian growth and witness, and has student groups on campuses in every state and territory in Australia.

Working behind the scenes of the campus ministry in the AFES National Office is an opportunity to serve the staff and students. It is essential that applicants have a personal commitment to and alignment with the vision, mission, values and doctrinal basis of AFES.

Role Summary

The administration officer be responsible for regular and recurring tasks in the finance team along with additional general administrative tasks to serve the mission of AFES.

 Duties and responsibilities

  • Process employee reimbursement claims and invoice payments.
  • Process regular financial donations and respond to donation inquiries.
  • Provide ad-hoc general administrative support as needed.
  • Actively participate in the AFES National Office community.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Ability to provide accuracy and thoroughness with high attention to detail, especially when performing repetitive tasks.
  • High computer literacy including skills in Office365, email clients, web-browsers, and the ability to quickly become competent using FileMaker Pro and MYOB.
  • Ability to work independently to manage time, set priorities and plan workload.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus.
  • Servant-hearted team player, contributing positively to a team environment.
