Pray for students from Monash University, Clayton’s Christian Union and FOCUS as they serve at various beach missions during the summer break – that God may watch over them, guide their conversations so many will come to know Him and provide for their needs with resource and finances

Pray for graduating students from James Cook University, Townsville Christian Students. Pray for their transition to a new season, and for international students returning home. Pray they would persevere in faith and be salt and light in their communities.

AFES FOCUS || Pray for a safe and restful break for international students and that God will bring more international students to FOCUS in 2026.

Pray that in line with AFES’ first value, by His grace, God will transform lives on our campuses into the likeness of Jesus.

Pray for the students at Notre Dame Bible Fellowship at the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle serving at beach missions and camps throughout January. Pray that these are fruitful and that students will return to campus rested and re-energised for the upcoming academic year.

AFES Evangelism || “From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”” (Matt 4:17) | Praise God that his Kingdom has come! Pray for summer missions to boldly proclaim Christ’s rule and that many would repent and be saved.

Pray for Campus Bible Study at University of NSW staff as they prepare for a new year. Pray that staff would be energised and excited for the year ahead.

Pray that more students on campus at University Fellowship of Christians at the University of Tasmania, Launceston will be curious about Jesus and seek and know more about Him.

Pray for the new committee at University of Western Australia Christian Union as they plan and restructure the Christian Union to be more warm and welcoming to encourage students to stay, learn, and grow.

Pray for the new Apprentice starting with Evangelicals on Campus, at the Australian Catholic University, Strathfield; that they would serve wholeheartedly as they step into this role. Pray also for those newly joining EOC in Semester 1 that they would have soft hearts towards Jesus and would accept Him as King and Saviour.

Pray that University Fellowship of Christians at the University of Tasmania, Hobart students would see at least one friend come to know and trust in Jesus this year.

Pray for Credo at the University of Technology Sydney’s FacNet and Committee leaders as they meet up in camps and getaways to plan for the year but also grow in relationship with each other. Pray that the Spirit would guide their conversations and their decisions will be Christ-driven.

Pray for the University Fellowship of Christians at the University of Tasmania, Hobart that local churches might be proactive in raising awareness of the Fellowship within their congregations, encouraging those entering university in 2026 to get involved; that the Lord might give guidance and peace to those making plans to travel to Hobart for the commencement of university studies next month.

Pray for Campus Bible Ministries at Western Sydney University, Penrith as the new executive team plans for 2026. Pray for wisdom as they bring the gospel to a smaller campus, for energy to serve CBM members, and boldness to share the gospel with those around them.

AFES Evangelism || “And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him.” (Matt 4:19-20) | Thank God for those on your campus and at your church who have left their jobs to serve Jesus, bringing people into his kingdom. Pray that many would be gathered to Christ on campus this year.

Give thanks for new staff member Lily at Christian Fellowship at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, and ask that God might provide many of gospel partners willing and eager to financially support her.

Praise God for the growth of the student executive team at Uni Fellowship Hobart, that it has expanded and more students are stepping up into leadership!

Pray for the students over the holidays at University of Queensland Evangelical Students, Brisbane, that it will be an enriched period to grow in their faith despite not having regular ES events.

Pray that in 2026 God will use each Christian student at the Australian National University, Canberra FOCUS to bring a non-believer to Christ.

Pray for Uni Bible Study at Charles Sturt University, Albury-Wodonga students – that over Summer they would continue to dive deep into God’s Word and grow in the knowledge and grace of God.

Pray for the preparations for the upcoming Mark Drama 31 March to 1 April for University of Canberra FOCUS students. That they will find a suitable venue to host the drama, that the drama will encourage the students performing and that many non-Christian friends will come along and be challenged to consider what the gospel means for their lives.

Pray for CS JCU Townsville’s Trimester O Week 19-23 January. Pray they can connect with new local and international students and for more students to seek Jesus in 2026.

AFES Evangelism || ““Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matt 5:11-12) | Pray that we would be willing to suffer for Christ as we proclaim his kingdom to our friends and family.

Pray for Monash Parkville Christian Union as they are considering starting a bible study (on a gospel) during December/January – February. Pray that people will be keen to join and that members’ schedules will line up to allow for this to happen. Pray that people will draw closer to God, personally relate to and love who Jesus really is.

Pray for the graduating students of UQES Brisbane, that these next few months will be a smooth transition to a new stage of life, and that God will bless them with Christian community beyond uni and wisdom for how to honour Him in their careers.

Pray that in line with the AFES Mission statement we will together present students on our campuses mature in Jesus (by God’s strength).

Pray for IFES – InterVarsity/USA’s Urbana25 (28-31 December), when “Gen Z will be invited to see firsthand what God is doing globally and discover their role in his mission”. Pray that final preparations will run smoothly so that a new generation “follow God, wherever he leads”.

Pray that Newcastle Christian Students at the University of Newcastle would effectively welcome new students at a beach party event on the 24 January; that the students attending would be encouraged to seek Jesus and get involved with NCS.

Pray for those in the Sydney University Evangelical Union that are resting over the holidays. Ask that they will not be idle or fall into sloth but will take the time and freedom God has given them to deepen their faith and serve those around them in love as their saviour served them. That they would be refreshed for the year ahead.

Pray that AFES will double our numbers offering themselves for Missionary Service.

Pray for IFES – for the CPI project in Antigua, 11-20 January 2026: for unity among the 25 students (some English-speaking, others French-speaking); for a heart of service; for Spirit-led opportunities to share about Christ; for Antiguan students to respond to the gospel. 

AFES Evangelism || “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matt 5:16) | Pray that our lives (and our student groups) would adorn the gospel we proclaim with lives of godliness and holiness, affirming the truth and goodness of the risen Christ.

Pray for Christian Union at Deakin University Burwood, Victoria as they welcome many international students, and seek to provide them with a loving community they will want to invest in.

Pray that Bathurst Christian Students at Charles Sturt University would continue to live wholeheartedly for Christ and engage in their local church communities during this long summer break.

Pray that Jesus will shine through the lives of students who go on placements from Canberra Christian Society at Australian Catholic University, Canberra.

Pray for IFES in Eurasia Deepening Daily Devotions. Give thanks for the development of this indigenous resource and its ongoing impact. Pray that it will help many students in Central Asia to nurture their faith by consistently reading and studying the Bible.

Pray for the graduating students from Curtin Christian Union, Curtin University, Perth as they embark on a new stage of life. May they feel equipped and supported to do so.
